I'm not really sure WHY my mom emailed it to me...maybe she'd thought I'd think it was funny (I was more appalled than anything. My - how times have changed!) Or maybe she thought I should take some hints. I dunno. But I will tell you one thing. I'm so glad I wasn't a housewife in 1955. If I HAD been there, I would have either: a) been kicked out of the time-space continuam or b) been drowned as a witch.

I would never survive 1955
My mom sent me this email of an "actual" article from Good Housekeeping in 1955. I HOPE you can make it bigger so you can read it. It's the "good wife's guide". If you can't make it bigger, I implore upon you to email me (jaimemcafee@hotmail.com) & I will forward it to you! I know you working mom's out there will get a kick out of it as well...
