O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree - O $20 Christmas tree!

I put up the Christmas tree last weekend after I got back from IU. I was exhausted so I wasn't a very good blogger & didn't take any pics. Yea, yea - I'm a slacker...
This is it... the tree cost me $20 at K-Mart this year. I love a good deal! I have a thang for Barbie's. (That sounds kinda bad - but it sounds funnier than "I collect Barbie's"...) I used to play with them as a kid. I had like everything Barbie. Barbie & the Rockers van, Barbie Dreamhouse, Barbie Ferrari (uh, yea-Barbie don't mess around!) you get the idea...So I loved my Barbie's so much, that it's become a tradition for my mom to buy me a Holiday Barbie every Christmas. I have a closet full of them (still in the box, of course...). A few years ago, Brad got me a curio cabinet thingie & I was able to pick my favorite & they got to be released from their cardboard captivity & moved on up to the east side into the cabinet. Notice how there are some stacked on top? Well those are the most recent years holiday Barbies that I don't have room for in the closet...I dunno what I'm gonna do...
Dear mom - please don't stop buying me holiday Barbie's - I WILL make room for them...
Perhaps some of my most favoritest Barbies - Barbie as Scarlet O'Hara. I love the movie "Gone with the Wind" & when they came out with a Scarlet Barbie - well, I was just in Heaven!!!!
I've got a bride Barbie -
I've got Barbie in a sunflower Bob Mackie gown & on the right are 2 porcelein Barbie's.

So I told you that story to explain my Christmas tree (see, there is a method to my madness...) I decorate my tree with Barbie doll ornaments. (of course, there are other ornaments on it too, but the Barbie's are the most important.)
I think I have most the ornaments that go along with the Holiday Barbie's.
Yes I know - I'm a dork...
but me & my Barbie's don't care...
And of course since B-rad's a farmer - I have a couple of tractors too!

Jaime, I think your Barbies are great! When my sister and I were little, the first thing we would do when we got a Barbie was to cut her hair. Don't ask me why, but we did. Glad to see yours are all still intact. Your tree looks really cute! Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!!

Awe! I love Barbies. I still have mine that I got in, I think 1958. I have her case and her clothes. I would not part with her!

Awe-thanks everybody! Kim-cutting your Barbie's hair? That's just...just...Barbie abuse! lol! Marcia-that's awesome you still have your dolls accessories. Mom still has my stuff at her house in the attic. I know one of these days I'm gonna have to get it all & bring them here. I'm talkin' Dream House, Van, & even dolls. :)
