The mad hatters tea party

My friend/co-worker, Nancy, is on the Prayer Blanket Minstry at her church. They make blankets & pray over them, then they give them to people who are sick. It's a really cool thing. The prayer blanket ministry ladies had a tea yesterday afternoon & Nancy invited me to come. (She wore a hat, which inspired me for the title - ya know - with all the Alice in Wonderland stuff lately?!)Each lady decorates her table differently. I didn't have a chance this year to walk around & look at the different tables. It was so crowded & the tables were so close it was hard to walk around. We each even had a card with our name on it. Can anybody tell me what's wrong with this picture? As soon as I saw it I said, "NANCY! You spelled my name wrong!" She quickly replied, "NO, it wasn't me! I gave them your name on a list & THEY spelled it wrong." Hmph....
Anyway, I was sure this year to get a pic of all the food! It is all made by the ladies & it is wonderful!!!

Nancy mades these little mice.

ItIS a tea party, after all, & they have ladies walk around with teapots & different kinds of hot tea.

The speaker this year was Dawne Gee from Wave 3 news. She was ok. I mean, she had a good message, but she didn't stay for the whole tea. She came, she spoke she left...Ahhhh, my plate of food. Yum! We really chastised Nancy this year for having such small plates. Last year I filled my plate up half way down the food table. This year, I had a strategy. Stacking... It worked quite well.
I'm totally a sweets kinda girl, so that's mostly what I had stacked up. By the time I was done, I thought I could die of a diabetic coma because of all the sugar I ate. It was totally worth it.
