4th of July weekend - Day 1

After Stefany's wedding, we drove down to the lake for the weekend. We had big plans for fun in the sun. However, the weather had different plans.It rained off & on all day. It was cloudy & a little cool.

Erin, Eric & Madelyn came down too. They got Madelyn a new life jacket & it was hilarious to watch her try to manuever in it.Brad's parents got a new toy. A jet ski. I made Brad go out for the first time by himself. I didn't trust him to take it too easy w/ me. And I was right. After I thought he got all the testosterone out of his system, I decided to go for a ride. He still drove pretty crazy w/ me. I screamed in his ear most the time - "B-r-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-d!" Then he agreed to let me drive. And we all know how I'm a control freak so I liked that much better. When we got back to the boat, he decided that I couldn't be trusted to park it.

Then Brady went out w/ us. I was scared Brady was gonna fall off & I kept yelling at him, "Brady, hold on t-i-i-i-i-i-i-ght!!" Brian & Lora took a spin too.

Eric & Erin wanted to take Madelyn for a little ride around the cove. Erin wasn't real sure about it.

They tried to get Madelyn to swim. But Miss Madelyn didn't want any part of swimming.

And it kept raining...

Ann gave Madelyn some ranch dressing. She.loved.it. She picked up the plate to lick it.

The rain finally stopped & we decided to take Brian & Lora's houseboat around to the dam to watch the firework show.A little Euchre while we waited.Please notice our wardrobe. Sweatshirts & blankets! It was cool outside. Not like July 4th!My 1st attempt @ a self portrait. Brad said he was trying to kiss my cheek. He ended up fogging up one lense of my glasses!
