Sparky vs. The Vet

In the past, I've seen the McAfee Pack & the Lewis Gang take their children to the doctor. There are cute pics of them holding their younger siblings hands & sitting on the table like good little boys & girls. Angels I tell ya! I thought I'd share w/ you what happens when I take MY kids to the doctor!!!
I had to break down & take Sparky to the vet over his tail issue. It was pretty nasty looking & I didn't want to let it go too long. PLUS, it had been a year since I had taken him the spay & neuter clinic. I didn't know if he'd stick around back then & I'm a responsible kinda pet owner, so I got his rabies shot back then too. So he needed his shots updated as well.
This is the what he looks like while we're riding in the car. If I was cool enough to attach video, you'd get to hear the God awful sounds he makes.
The best part is that the bodily fluids I dreaded did, in fact, happen. Then he was upset because he had to sit in it. Sorry, bud, that's your own fault. I beg of you, w/ all that is good & holy, do NOT look closely @ the picture or you will see the afore mentioned bodily fluids.
So the lady was really nice about the bodily fluid accident & took him to a back room to get him cleaned up. While he was there, the vet went ahead & looked @ his tail.
Now we are waiting for the Dr. to come in & tell me how my baby is...
Oh, isn't he just the essence of H-A-P-P-Y?!

Then they had to put the worm medicine on him. He still has all his claws so they have to pull him out by his neck. You know, like how their mamas carry them...I would've taken a pic of that, but I felt bad for him & turned away so I didn't have to look.
So the verdict is that he was bitten by another feline. (Sonny's revenge, maybe?!) She said after they bite & their teeth come out, it seals up almost immediately. So it was festering (gag!) underneath where he had been licking it trying to heal it & then the hair mats to it & it's a never ending cycle! So she shaved his tail (which is hilarious, but I thought he'd been through enough w/ out the shame of a pic of that. Maybe in a couple of days when the emotional scars are gone?) & scraped the outer crust (double gag) off the bite & cleaned it & now the ucky stuff can drain out. He's gotta take antibiotics twice a day (which will be great fun IF he lets me catch him!)
So, take THAT McAfee's & Lewis'. Ya'll don't got nothin' on me! :-)
