A visit w/ my nieces

I went to the library after work yesterday & Erin & Eric have a super cute apartment in Corydon, so when I'm there, I try to drop in & say "hi!" And, lets be honest, I needed something to blog about & what's better than a cute fat baby?! (Erin-I say fat in the most loving, sincere & she's a cute baby way!!! Fat babies are THE cutest!) I mean, look @ that face!

Then, she practiced rolling over. She's REALLY good at going from her belly to her back, but going back to her belly is gonna take more practice!

I love how she has her mouth open! Major concentration!

Brad & I (& when I say Brad, I mean his name was on the tag! LOL!) got her this little butterfly for Christmas. It plays music & flaps its wings & rolls to encourage babies to crawl. Erin says Madelyn LOVES it! Now, I'm not one to brag (yeah, right) but I did a pretty darn good job of picking this thing out. I walked & walked to aisles of Toys R Us to find a gift a 5 month old would like. I'm a little nutty like that! But I'm glad my torment paid off!

See how she reaches for it? Like there's no other toy in the room...oh, wait, maybe there's not?!

A-HA! There IS another toy, but she's having NO part of it! She enjoys chewing on the butterflys wings & holding them so they make this horrid CLICKING noise because they can't flap. Auntie Jaime can't handle that, so eventually I turned it off... & in the spirit of full disclosure, she did play w/ that ball - a little - but you won't see any pics of that here!!!! :-)

Then we thought we'd try to encourage her to crawl. She's 7 months old now, it's time right? WRONG! It was the funniest thing because Erin was trying to get her to put her knees up under her. But who are we kidding? What do we know about getting babies to crawl? Not much! But Madelyn would NOT cooperate. See her face?! Erin & I got a good laugh out of it!

Erin had her up on her head & she was bouncing. She loves to bounce. That's why she's blurry! But, notice the nice, neatly folded, clean clothes on the bar behind them?Madelyn found 'em! Luckily, she only got hold of 1 bib & started chewing! Again, she's blurry because she's multi-tasking. She's chewing & bouncing!

Thanks for letting me visit ladies! Maybe someday Uncle Brad came come too!
