Friday. The last day. The day before I get to come home. Ahhhhh....
I haven't shared any pics of the boat itself yet, so I thought I'd do that in this post. This is the circular staircase in the main lobby on level 3, There is a piano up the 1st set of stairs & someone sits there & plays while a chick sings to you.
These are glass elevators in the main lobby. They are right across from the staircase. There are way more elevators than these, but these are the prettiest. The lights change colors.
The had the lobby all gussied up for Christmas. The whole ship was decorated. There were Christmas trees everywhere!
This pic doesn't do the lobby justice, but it is like 3 floors tall where all those yellow squares are. All the lights change colors, too.
So Friday was a 'funner' day than the day before. The weather was really nice so we decided to hang out on the Lido deck to finally try & get some sun. Plus B-rad could play on the water slides.

I laid in my deck chair for a long time. So long that I had kinda lost my sea legs. I knew the boat was moving pretty good, but I had been sitting most the time. I got up to go to the restroom & get something to eat. My first clue that we were getting into rough water again was running into the wall in the bathroom.
I had went to the grill to get a burger & fries for lunch. It was SO windy that I had to put my hand on my fries so they didn't blow away! Wasting good french fries is blasphemy! Walking back to my deck chair was not an easy task. The boat was moving back & forth so badly that I was walking side to side. Welllll, that made me sick to my stomach. So guess what I did? Yup, went back to our room & laid down. Golly I love naps....
There wasn't much else going on that I wanted to do before dinner. I spent that time re-packing all our crap. Ugh! And yes, I pack both mine AND B-rad's stuff. Hello - control freak? I can't trust him to pack what he needs!
This was our last night with our awesome waiter, Cornelius. Him & his helper agreed to take a pic with our whole group. Brave...
We were up at 5:45am Saturday morning because B-rad, "wanted to watch us come into Port Canaveral"! Bleh! I wanted to get up at 6:30 to be ready for breakfast at 7:00 but noooooo. Turns out, it was realllly foggy & he couldn't see anything while we ported. So I lost 45 minutes of perfectly good sleep. Sigh.
We had a long day of hanging out at airports & got home around 11:15 Saturday night. I slept in Sunday morning, took a mid-afternoon nap, then un-packed all our crap. I hate packing & un-packing. That's probably why we only take big vacas once every 2 years!

Here's what I've noticed about cruises....they seem to be for a "party" type of person. I know I would enjoy it, but my mom has been talking about going on on. I just can't see her enjoying the dancing, and carrying on. Wonder if they have cruises for "older" peeps??
Ginmommy-I think cruising has something for everyone! We cruised on Carnival which are pegged "The fun ships", but there were a lot of -ahem- older people on our ship. There are things going on everyday for every age. But you may wanna check out Royal Caribbean or Norwegian?
