Chillin' at the lake

Brian & Lora & Brad's parents each have Houseboats on Rough River. Brad & I are "moochers" & even though we don't have a houseboat, we tag along & they let us stay w/ them & cook for us (thanks again, Lora, for feeding us!!) Don't judge me people, I help cook...a little...& I buy some food.

Since it had rained a few days earlier & it was too wet to do any farming, we went to the lake. Jeremy & Hannah tagged along too. (They were moochers too...)

If you look closely, you can see Brad almost hitting the water.
We got Brian & Lora a cornhole game for Christmas. I told them I really know how to pick presents because I got them something that even WE would benefit from.

Our nephew, Derik, is a fishing machine. He does it all.day.long. No lie. He doesn't swim w/ us, he doesn't go skiing w/ us. He fishes.

Sometimes his persistence pays off. He got a hella big catfish this morning.
Jeremy wanted to work on his "swimming" for his competitions. He had Hannah follow him in the canoe..."just in case..."

This afternoon, just as we were getting ready to go out in the ski boats, it started to rain...hard.

It didn't let up for a couple of hours.

By the time it quit raining, it was really too late to go back out. We packed up everything to pull the boats & come home. Then the sun came out. Figures...
