Hottest weekend ever

We spent another weekend at the lake.  It was so flingin', flangin' hot that even I had to get into the water.  Hmph.
I had official jewelry business Saturday morning so we weren't able to get there until Saturday later in the afternoon.  After cooling off in the water, we went up to the party top to hang out.

Brian &  Shauna were able to get rid of their kids to come with us this weekend.  Brian has to work on excersizing his hand.  Uhm, I'm sure I didn't say anything mean or rude at all to deserve this...
Ann told me to buy the food & she would cook it.  Does life get any better?  We bought chicken, potatoes for mashed potatoes, corn & bread.  YUM.  Ann had her official su chef in charge of cooking the chicken.  Look quick, people - this doesn't happen often.
Shauna & Cole jumped off the top of the boat...at night.  I did it earlier in the day when I could see what was down in the water - it's just madness to do it at night.
Cole turned 10 years old last Thursday.  I know I'm getting old because I always remember how I was there the day he was born... sigh....
He told me he wanted the 5 piece combine & tractor set we have at work.  Unfortunately it must've been pretty popular because we were sold out.  I improvised & bought him a combine set AND the tractor set.  When  he opened the combine, he studied it for a minute & said, "This isn't the one I wanted...but it's still pretty cool."  Man, I love that kid...
B-rad & Brian were obviously involved in something way more important than the birthday present opening.
Shauna & Cole posed together with his farming equipment.
After taking their picture together, I decided I should be in the picture with him...I mean, the presents were from me.
I had my iPod playing & I have some really, really cool music on it.  Duh.
During the super cool Selena Gomez song 'Love you like a love song' the boys put down their phones for 2 seconds to do a little dance.  It was hilarious!
B-rad did have to work a little on his planting records while we were there.  Booooring.
We all eventually came back inside & as I sat & looked around - we.were.all.on.our.devices.  I KNEW ya'll would love this so I asked Ann to take a picture.
Notice who is also on her iPad that normally escapes the pics?
Sunday afternoon it was time to get back into the water too cool off!  I thought this was a cute pic of B-rad with Brady & Cole.
These two are completely ridiculous.  They are both impulsive.  They are both adrenaline junkies.  If they were married they'd have NO home to live in, but LOTS of cools toys to keep them occupied.  Surely the slide was meant to go down in strange, abnormal ways.  And these two figured it out.
B-rad on his stomach & Shauna riding on his back.

Yea-I don't do crazy shit like that.
It's a miracle that:
A) I got in the water.  (even Brady said, "Jaime?  Are you in the water or am I seeing things?")
B) I went down the slide like a normal person.
C) I jumped off the top of the boat.  (In the spirit of full disclosure I had had just a teeny, tiny bit to drink...and I screamed my head off the whole.way.down.)
