Track day numero tres

I survived my 3rd track day. The weather was bee-u-ti-ful & none of my people crashed so that's a great day!
We left the house around 4:30am. While the 2 oldest (me & Brad), fought off sleep, the younger folks did this...(& that really doesn't include Jeremy because he's only 16 months younger than me...he's old too...) I didn't want to bore you w/ MORE pictures of the motorcycles on the track. I mean, really? How many different pics can you get of a dude going hella fast on a motorcycle on a track? So here's one of the only ones I took today.
Jeremy & Hannah
Then, before session 3, Brad had a wardrobe malfunction. He has a one piece leather suit. He leaves it on all the time & just unzips it down to his waist & takes it off his arms & torso when they're not racing. The stress on the zipper being stretched over & over finally gave in. A few of the metal "teeth" in the zipper popped out when he tried to zip it up before the 3rd session. So we all tried to fix it, to no avail. Even some of the motorcycle gang tried to fix it.
Then another buddy gave him an excellent idea. Brad thought about putting zip ties through the leather, but we didn't want to ruin the suit by putting holes in it. So his buddy said, "Cut holes through the edge of the fabric of the zipper & run zip ties through it." A-ha! Excellent idea!
So, voila! He zip tied his suit shut.

And those zip ties must've been good luck charms, 'cuz Brad went out & beat his fastest time at Putnam. The track is 1 mile & 8 tenths. His fastest lap had been 1 minute, 19 seconds & 26 tenths of a second. He shaved 16 tenths of a second of his personal best!
