I had noticed during the ceremony that the guys had a hint of purple in their boutonnières & the gals were carrying purple flowers. I was hopeful that there would be more purpley goodness at the reception & they did.not.disappoint. Our table had a hurricane glass vase with purple & silver pine cones at the bottom. Inside there was a candle holder thingie too. Very pretty...& purple.
I was also impressed with the purpley cake. It was elevated on clear glass & they had the purple & silver pine cones underneath the glass. The also had purple tulle around the table with clear Christmas lights in it. Sure, there's some green mixed in there too...but who cares about green?
Another really really cool element they had was a self serve ice cream machine. Michael said they wanted to do something people would remember.
They had chocolate & caramel sauce & lots of toppings.
On a side note-I'm coming to you live from my iPad. The blogger app that I bought a while back was having some trouble after the newest iOS 5 update. They were working on a fix but it was taking some time to get the final approval from Apple. They finally sent me the update last week & eureka! It's working awesome now! Aren't ya'll lucky?! I still have to get my bearings & figure everything out. Up first on my list is how to make the font purple! Psssssh!

Huh. It did post it purple, but not the usual shade I use. I'll have to work on that!
