Brad's newest "deal"

Remember how I told ya that Brad's never happy w/ what he has? He always wants somethin' else. ALWAYS! All I heard last year was, "I want a motorcycle, I want a motorcycle!" So, he bought my brothers because HE wanted a new one. The one he bought was an R6. Now, I don't really know what that means, but I know it's 600-somethings. Watts, amps, volts, horsepower, I dunno! But anywho, he's decided that an R6 is too small for him. He's been whining & crying for months about wanting a 1000. (Again, no clue...) So in his quest to look for a deal (I'm a slavedriver like that...) he found a chick in Northern Kentucky who had a 1000 that was too big for her & she wanted to trade it for an R6. Even steven, no takesie-backsies. Ok, so being the pessimist I am - I'm like, "Whaaa?! No way... if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is..." So of course Brad's jumping up & down like a little kid 'cuz he's so excited. So the chick was @ her moms in Louisville for Easter & brought the bike w/ her so Brad could check it out & ride it & she could see his. Jeremy came over too for a second opinion...

& moral support.

And these guys talked & talked & talked about motorcycles.

And then it was time...he felt the need...the need for speed!

Then he did a wheelie in front of the house & I said bad words!

And they decided it's a deal. She took hers back home w/ her because Brad has a loan on his so he has to wait to get the title. I was so irritated by the whole thing I even made Brad call the bank about getting a new loan on this one & call about insurance, etc. (Hello? I'm a control freak & usually I do all this leg work stuff because I don't think Brad will do it right...but this time, I was makin' HIM do it! :-0) But I did have a rule...his payments couldn't be anymore than they are right now. Ya didn't think I was gonna stay totally silent did ya?!

I WILL say that the chick DID seem on the up & up. The reason she wanted to move back down to an R6 is because this 1000 was too tall for her & she was on her tip-toes when she was on it & just didn't feel comfortable. PLUS, Brad had lots of little "extras" on his R6 that he threw into the deal to help w/ the difference in prices (plus he couldn't use the stuff anyway...it was for an R6 & duh, he's gonna have a 1000!)

If all goes according to plan, when the bank gets the paperwork done & gets Brad the title, him & Jeremy will go up & try to meet them half-way to trade.
When Brad started talking about all this trading stuff, I told him that it's a wonder he hasn't tried to trade me in for something else. Then I told him to be careful, it'd be REAL expensive if he tried to get rid of me! ;-)
