Ya'll know my love of all things culinary, yes? Sigh.
Each year at work, some of us girls exchange names for gifts. We also bring in a dessert & we all eat ourselves into a sugar coma. It's heavenly. However, what's NOT so heavenly is the fact that I gotta bake. Bleh. I like to eat the baking...I don't like doing the baking. Each year I try to find something simple enough that I can handle that still seems I'm contributing to the coma.
I had these little things at a jewelry show a few weeks back & they were yummy. They had a pretzel, some chocolate & a pecan. I asked the girls at work & they totally knew what they were. Show offs...
So I googled the recipe. Yes, I must have a recipe for even - 'put pretzels on a piece of parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Put Rolo's on the pretzels. Bake at 350 for 4 minutes, then press pecans on chocolate while still warm. Allow to cool completely then store in air tight container.'
They were super simple (which I love...). The worst part was unwrapping all those damn Rolo's. That took forever...
B-rad got his internet card thingie in the mail over the weekend & he achieved supreme connectivity last night. See all his crap laying on the floor?! He was playing on-line with Butterfly & they talk through the blue tooth in his ear. He would say things like, "Oh yea. I didn't see that." & I was like, "WHAT?!" Then he would explain, "No, I'm talking to Jer." I finally figured out he was never talking to me.
Here are the finished products. They taste like Turtle candies. YUM, I love me some turtle candies...

Those look SO good. I wish I would have seen this blog post before I went and got stuff to make EIGHT DOZEN chocolate chip cookies for all of the 500 people I have to bake for at Abby's school. I thought I was doing good...had awesome gifts for her TWO teachers...she comes home and tells me she wants to give gifts to the PE teacher, music teacher, librarian and computer lab teacher, too...so I decided since I'm baking for everyone else, why leave out the ladies in the office!? ha! Cookies for everyone in Aviston! ha!

I've had the same little candy done with a twist. Put a Hershey Kiss on top of the pretzel. Bake for 4 minutes, and then top Hershey Kiss with an M&M. I love them!
