Boring yet busy all at the same time?

Since returning home from the looong holiday weekend, I have been trying to catch up on my precious sleep (& laundry...). Ya'll know how I get...

There's been a lot of 'stuff' going on, but nothing picture/blog worthy. But I haven't updated in a couple of days & I never want to let down my public so here goes:

B-rad's glasses broke last Thursday. Our eye doctor is only open Mon-Thurs (they have late hours) so I took them down during my lunch that day. I was hoping they could get him into something for the long weekend, alas -they could not & he had to resort to wearing an older pair he still had. He had a headache for a couple of days, but seems to be good now. They still hadn't called & today is Thursday which means they will be closed until Monday so I called THEM. The frames had just arrived & because of my persistence, they said they'd put them on the top of the pile to get the lenses in them. Huh, the squeaky wheel DOES get the grease...

He also had the stitches from his Holy Moly removal taken out on Wednesday. He told a small, itty, bitty white lie when the nurse asked him if he had gotten in the water. I hope the doctor doesn't read this blog or he's sunk. And, of course, I (& Ginmommy) were correct, they were MOLES. The doctor told him if they'd been cancerous, they were considered 'skin lesions'. B-rad tried to say that technically we were BOTH right. I strongly disagree. I told him, "They sure as heck weren't freckles like YOU said!"

Perhaps the biggest excitement/cause for stress around our house right now is the great cell phone debate of 2010. I have a rule. A rule that states I refuse to pay over $100 smack-a-roos for a cell phone. I mean, it's a tiny device you use to TALK on?! Currently we both have Blackberry Curves (older models, of course. The new ones were too expensive!) We got them back in December of 2008. B-rad's line is available for upgrade now (because he uses an un-Godly amount of data...) & mine can be upgraded in August. Now, I like to keep things fair, so I don't want him to get a new cell phone before me! And ya'll know B-rad, he loves all the bells & whistles. He not only wants to talk on his phone, he wants it to watch videos, download stuff, check all his motorcycle gang stuff & to scratch his butt.

Thus, the great debate. I said we should get Blackberry Bold's (older versions - duh...). But he has decided he wants an iPhone. Gulp. A new one. A 4G one. Double gulp. And those bad boys aren't cheap. But he did make a good point (you know it pains me to admit that...) -they call it an 'upgrade' for a reason. It's not called 'getting a new phone'. Curses...

Mom got him an iTouch for Christmas & he absolutely LOVES it! He loves being able to get on wi-fi & download music & apps & games. I complain because when we get itunes gift cards, he burns through them like he stole 'em. So, really - this is kinda my fault. I told mom that's what he wanted for Christmas. So I started the obsession. Of course, I went to my peeps on facebook to find out who liked what better. I think iPhone people are kinda stuck up about the fact they have the iPhone. You know - they have the iPhone & you don't - so you suck. I like to hear the opinion of someone who has used a Blackberry but went to the iPhone. To compare apples to apples (oh, I made a joke! No pun intended!) Right now it's a tie. I had 1 person say they liked the bb better & 1 that told me they would rather have their iPhone. Hmph... an impass....

Currently, B-rad has been ranting & raving about how his phone is messing up. He can see the light at the end of the tunnel & he is frothing at the mouth. So here are the problems. I don't wanna pay the moolah for an iPhone because I'm cheap. And then I don't want HIM to get an iPhone & then it be really cool & then I don't have one. But that means I have to pay double moolah to get both of us phones. Hmph again.... But I think what I might do is use my jewelry money. I'm so retarded because I work my butt off to make this money & then I just let it sit in the bank. Like I say at my shows, "I'm the saver - my husband is the spender!" & that is true!

You know I will totally keep you posted. I mean, your invested now. I know you are going to wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat worrying about what we're going to do. And that's why I love you all... (also, if you have any advice, that is welcome as well. We are on AT&T so the 'droid' is out. Don't even go there...)
