Our best buddy Matt had a birthday yesterday. I had called Carrie Wednesday night to see if they were doing anything for his bday. She said that them & her parents were going to go eat & go to the Legion to see a band play. So since I'm practically family & all - I just invited myself along. Well, technically - I invited myself AND Brad, but Brad was busy combining - so I went by myself..JPG)
I wasn't able to go to dinner so I met up with them at the Legion. We did a little Cupid Shuffle (you know - putting my line dance classes to good use! I.love.it!).JPG)
Carrie's mom, Donna, & I did the Electric Slide. And one of the many reasons I love Donna - she's a little petite lady - but she don't take NO crap! You know how it is when you're out & people are drinking & sometimes they get a little - uh - out of control? Well there was this dude dancing near me & he was pretty intoxicated. He wasn't bothering me or anything, but he got a little too close for Donna's liking. She came over & put her arm around me & pulled me away from him. She don't mess around with that kinda stuff. She's quite the fireball. I wonder where Carrie gets it? And I wonder why we all get along so well? Hmmm...

Carrie's parents are great. They are very cool people AND they put their arms around Brad & me from the first time we met & made us feel like part of the family. So we're all sitting around the table & some woman comes up & says hi to Carrie. She looks at me & was like, "Oh-this must be your sister?!" Which I totally take as a compliment 'cuz Carrie is gorgeous! So if that woman thought I looked like her, that means I'M gorgeous too!

One of the many things I love about the Bye's is that we always have a good time no matter WHAT we do! Carrie was sober so Matt could celebrate his bday. But she still had to help out the band with her air drums.
