Faith Hill VIP style

OK so we all remember how I have an un-healthy obsession w/ Faith Hill, RIGHT?  (If you don't-read about it here.)

She's back on tour w/ Tim McGraw & you can bet your sweet a** that I have tickets for the show... TWO shows to be exact.  As usual my faithful concert buddy, Shauna, is on tap for BOTH those shows.  The show in Louisville happened about a week ago & the 2nd row tickets we splurged on also included VIP passes.  NOW-I have never done VIP before & had no idea what to expect.   About a week before the show I got a very official looking email about where to be & when.  One of the VIP perks was early check in (we got to go into the YUM center before everyone else.  Nanny nanny boo boo...) & free parking.  The check in time was listed at 5:15 & that it closed at 6:00 & if you weren't there by then you were out of luck.  I did not want to be out of luck...

So we all know I am always early... some may even say I'm neurotic about it.  Shauna is, ahem - not as neurotic about being early as I am so I had to give her fair warning.  I told her, "Listen-I am neurotic about being early - but this day I will be EXTRA neurotic because I do NOT want to be late & I do NOT want to miss a minute of ANYTHING!"
Lucky for me she gets my neuroticism & we were tucked nicely into our free VIP parking spot in the parking garage about 30 minutes before check in.
AMEN.

Ok so the VIP experience includes free parking, early check in, crowd free merchandise shopping, a lounge area w/ food & a cash bar.

This place was fancy pants.
There was Soul 2 Soul 'stuff' everywhere along w/ tv screens showing pics of Tim & Faith as well as their music playing in the background.
So my problem w/ all these different social medias is I'm older & I can't keep up w/ them all.  I took pictures to SnapChat & then I had pictures from my phone & some of my Snapchat pictures were better than the ones on my phone & now they're gone.  HMPH.  Trust me-at some point there was a snapchat pic of the buffet.  They had Tim McGraw's chicken & dumplings & Faith's coca cola cupcakes.  Sadly I have nothing to show for it.
We made our way to our seats as the opening act was ending.  YA'LL-I had to tip toe to get this pic.  There was a little security guy standing near the stage so I asked him if we would be allowed to stand up around the little fence thingy surrounding the stage & he said yes so we picked out our spot & never sat down the whole night.
Finally it was time for me to see her.  There were like these white drape things hanging down & we heard people starting to scream & we were like, 'What is going on?'  Shauna said, 'oh look' & pointed to the drapes - there was a countdown clock on them.  We were too close to see it.
YES, first world problems.
So I have been SCOURING the internet for tour information since the tour started (DON'T act surprised...) so I knew that Faith would be coming up from under the stage on our side.  I told Shauna, "Be prepared for me to cry.  Also be prepared for me to grab you & scream at any given point in the night."
Since I knew where she was coming up & had my phone locked in on that spot in the stage in preparation.  The video is not long (I'm the one obsessed w/ her- I know ya'll don't want to watch 15 minute videos) so I beg of you to watch this one.  This was my first glimpse of my Faith... & I cried like a little girl...No apologies...
Faith holding the microphone...
Faith holding the microphone AND a guitar...
Faith holding her microphone & Tim near her singing...
You guys see where I'm going w/ this...
So duh we were close.  Like SO close that I could read Tim's name on his mic pack.  3 little letters & I read them like I'm reading this.
Also most our view of the night was their back sides... I'm not complaining.
Me & Tim's ass...
We stood next to a super nice couple who are my life goals of concert going.  They do VIP all the time & have been to SO many concerts.  They are my spirit animals.  I asked the guy to get a picture of me w/ Faith---it didn't turn out so well...
They have their first album of duets coming out this fall (which I'm super pumped about) & they sang   a couple of songs from it.   This video also shows how incredibly close we were to her.
This show was different from the other Soul 2 Soul's I've been to because they sang w/ each other on their solo songs.  Here Faith sings w/ Tim on 'I like it I love it'.  In the song he sings 'I ain't seen the Braves play a game all year' & in the Yum center they changed it to 'I ain't seen the Cards play a game all year' & I happened to catch it here.
She came near me, I took her picture...
Me w/ Faith's ass...
There are drawbacks to being so close--that spotlight was in our eyes most the night.  I know, I KNOW poor us...
Tim came right over to us & I stuck my hand out for him to grab me & bring me up on stage to be Faith's BFF & back up singer touch & he was heading right for me...then the nice man we stood next to all night came up beside me w/ his fist clinched... Tim saw it, smiled & reached right down & bumped fists w/ him....
Good thing that guy was so nice or else I might have been VERY pissed...
At the end they sing an intimate song & sadly her back was to us the whole time.  They didn't even have their faces on the screen for this one which disappointed me a bit.
And just like that - it was over... my Faith was waving goodbye & walking off stage.
Of course I saw everybody elses pics from the night on Facebook & one of my friends (Tracey's sister, Trish) was super jealous of my pics (which I love) & to rub it in even more I took one of the pics she posted & drew a circle around it & sent it to her.
YEP - that's me right on the edge of the stage.
EAT YOUR HEARTS OUT.
So Shauna & I survived another concert... & really lets be honest - Shauna survived.  She survived me being a crazy, neurotic & obsessed lunatic & I love her for it.
Remember I said we are going to TWO shows?  The next show will be in Nashville in August.  I'm SURE it will be star-studded & I'm fully expecting them to have some their famous friends come out & sing.
AND this one will also be special for me in another way.  I can't tell you how...you'll have to wait until August to see why...
