The last couple of years I've met up with my buddies blog stalkers JLL, Gretchen & Tracey to watch the last 2 Twilight movies. Sadly, Twilight is over (tear) but we have so much fun we wanted to keep up the tradition of getting together when Gretchen comes home for Thanksgiving! The girls have seen all the fun Shauna & I have painting at Uptown Art & always say they want to do one, so I did my whole 'I'm a planner & control freak thing called their bluff & said "let's do one when G's home!' 900 group texts later & we were set!!!!
Shauna's my partner in crime when it comes to painting classes & she was able to go too!
This was the first time I had 'reserved' us easels & it's the only way to go, people. They had our seats all ready for us when we got there!
Shauna & I drink wine when we're painting (it's much more fun that way!!) but these girls weren't real sure about all that nonsense....
HOWEVER - a sip of our Cupcake Moscato was all it took to convince them.
I had so fun watching them do this for the first time....

The only class we could do when Gretchen was home were 'winter owls'. Shauna & I did owls last time & I knew there was a lot of detail. It wasn't really the 'best 'class for painting virgins to start on, but we didn't really have another option...we made it work & they all look great!
We had a great time & I'm glad we could all get together! Shauna & I were truly amused watching these gals try their hand at being Picasso's for the first time. The looks on their faces & hearing their comments during the class were priceless!
