A small, sliver of light at the end of a very dark tunnel

Loyal blog stalkers, I have had a HELLUVA couple of weeks at work.  I have had NO time for anything except work.  BLAH!!!  This work also caused my brain to become mush & when I got home at night I.am.completely.mentally.exhausted.  Sigh.

Here's a funny story of just how much stress I was dealing with:  us girls at work always get lunch on Wednesday.  And since my office is out of the watchful eye of the bosses, we get the orders together & put our money in an envelope on my desk.  Then I take it to the money drawer & bust out the change.  Wednesday we noticed that we had $10 left over.  This NEVER happens.  After some thinking, I just assumed I had made the change incorrectly & we put it back in the money drawer.  This caused us all to have a big laugh at my expense especially since I was eye deep in reconciling numbers & dollar amounts the entire week.  

My lunch total was $6.25 & all I had on me was a $20.  So I put my $20 in the envelope & took out $13.  Two $5's & three $1's.  Easy breezy...

I met a friend for dinner that night.  And I was going to pay with my $13.  When I got in my wallet...I only had three $1's.  Hhhhmmmm?  I didn't give myself the two $5's?  For the love of God....

Lora counts the money at work every morning so I came in & told her the story & said, "if you're $10 over today, I think it's probably mine...".  She laughed & replied, "We shouldn't have let you touch ANY money yesterday!"  So, so true....  And guess what?  She was $9.53 over... I'm a mess...

My end of the year, pain in my a**, stress me out beyond words weeks are slowly starting to end.  I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel.  My brain is no longer the consistency of mush...  

I'm excited to have more time to do truly important things. Like pay my bills online (at work), scour the internet (at work), shop online (at work) & blog (at work.)

We have a busy weekend ahead but I'm hoping to have some blogging material.  We have a co-worker of mines wedding AND the year end celebration for the jewelry biz.  (Remember last year I won the office makeover for being top retailer?!  B-rad says they are NOT allowed to do ANYTHING to the house this time.  Hmph....)  I'm hoping to be the top retailer again this year.  I don't know what prize will be in store for me, but I told Brenda (my jewelry mom) - 'if anyone asks what I want/need - I want cash...'  I know you will be on the edges of your seats waiting to see what happens.  

Let see, what else?  Oh, I am pretty excited about something else happening here at work.  There used to be a lady in my office with me.  And I hate her.  YES, I said hate.  I have very good reasons, trust me.  She is my arch nemesis.  Maybe those crazy ones of you that are stay at home moms (oh, the humanity) have never had a arch nemesis before, but if you have ever been in the 'outside the home' work force, you've had one...or you're a liar!!!   My buddy, Nancy, retired so they moved the arch nemesis into her job.  Up front.  Away from me.  Hallelujah. 

 I've had to pick up some of her job duties, which has really sucked because I've been covered up with my job duties.  I haven't even had time to enjoy the peace & quiet that is not having my arch nemesis in the same room with me 8 hours a day.  Now that I'm getting caught up I may skip to work every morning...

I have been trying to get ideas together for different things to do in the house to decorate.  I downloaded a pinboard app (I love the internet...) to keep all my pictures in one spot.  Alas, I have so many pictures now & don't know where to start & feel overwhelmed so I haven't done anything.  Sigh.

I've made a few more 'blow my bonus benjamins' purchases.  Nothing real exciting, but of course I will share them when they arrive.  I'm still debating on whether or not I want a Mac computer.  What has started the whole thing is I want one of those Neat organizers.  Have you seen the commercials?  They have a desktop model & receipt (portable) model.   The desk model would be so completely awesome to have for all the farm receipts.  You should see the mess of paperwork I have to get together for tax time.  (Ahh, upcoming blog topic?!) But when you order this neat organizer thingy you have to decide PC or Mac?  

It's too much pressure!!!!!

Shauna is a big journaler (is that even a word?) & downloaded an app for her iPad to journal on.  Don't ya love technology?  To hell with a pen & paper...  She's started becoming a more faithful blog stalker & since blogging is just a form of journaling (is that a verb?!), she's thinking she might wanna start her own blog from her journal.  I don't have the heart to tell her she won't be nearly as funny as me...
