Current events

Its been a while since I entertained talked to you, loyal blog stalkers.  Trust me - it's hurts ME more than it does YOU.  But I've finally accumulated enough crap been inspired to make you laugh.

FIRST-The winter concert series was SUPPOSED to happen last Friday when B-rad & I were going to Lexington to see Luke Bryan shake his booty.  Around noon on Friday I started to hear a horrible, nasty, VICIOUS rumor that it was postponed.  I scoured the internet & social media & couldn't find anything. I did what most respectable people do & asked my peeps on Facebook.  Sadly, the comments came rushing in.  "Yes it's true."  "Yes the concert is postponed."  "Yes, Luke Bryan has ruined your life."
Then came an avalanche of information - people started posting links to my Facebook page of his website (which was NOT updated with that crap when I looked at it) & when the concert was re-scheduled for.  SIGH.
The great thing about the Luke Bryan Friday night concert was that I don't have to work Saturdays so we could get home at 2am & not worry about being up at 6:30am.  HOWEVER-they've re-scheduled it for the weekend that my work does its annual "Customer appreciation & open house" which is FRIDAY AND  SAT-UR-DAY (& we are mandated to work...).
You guys can do the math..I will get MAYBE 4 hours of sleep?  And ya'll also know what that means...THIS sleep deprived cranky bitch will not be appreciating ANYONE on Saturday...

Its also been a while since I bored showed you my super cute nails.  This time the guy wanted to know if I wanted a design.  I NEVER get one because I don't want to pay for that.  I know it seems dumb to drop $20 but not pay $5 more for a design.   I'm weird, what can I say?  This time he offered to do a design - for FREE.  I said, 'OK!'  He said, "You want a bow?"  I said, "A BOW?  What am I  -  a 12 year old girl?  NO bow.  I want a flower!"
And I DO love that flower...
I had a brown & purple Coach bag that I RUINED.  Ya'll - it was horrible.  A few weeks ago I had to get a new set of nails put on. They had me soaking my fingers to help loosen the old ones so it doesn't feel like someone jamming staples into your fingers when they rip them off.   I had the prettiest red polish on them.  I was bored whilst soaking so I tapped my fingers dry to reach into my purse to get my iPad so I could read.  WELL-I didn't dry off well enough & I dripped pretty red polish on the inside of my bag.  It will NOT come off.  It does NOT look good...it gives me anxiety...so I bought a new bag... problem solved.
Last Saturday, we celebrated Christmas w/ B-rad's uncle & aunt that live in Indy.  They were going to spend the weekend at Horseshoe Casino & we met them for brunch to visit & exchange gifts.  There were fourteen of us total.   I really do have issues w/ people being on their cell phones constantly in some situations.  THIS was one of those situations.  Us 'younger' folks sat at this end of the table & the whole time Brady, B-rad & Brian had their heads in their phones.  They would watch videos & say, "Hey such & such, watch this video!" & pass their phones across all of us to the other person.
This was my gift from Jeff & Janet.  If you wonder if I love it - you don't know me at all.
I couldn't get out of my driveway on Tuesday morning to come to work.  It hadn't snowed much at that point, but the wind was blowing so hard that there were big drifts across the driveway.  The wind comes across the field & there is nothing to slow it down so we get huge drifts.   I had to leave my car sitting in the driveway because I couldn't get it back into the garage.  My little car is nice for fuel mileage but bad on getting out in the snow.  Our driveway is REALLY steep & the car is so light I don't stand a chance.  Since my sister in law works with me AND lives less than a mile away-she stopped to pick me up.
When she dropped me off that afternoon, Brady had cleaned the drive way off.   (In the spirit of full disclosure, I got my car stuck again [in a different spot] trying to get it into the garage because Brady didn't clean it off well enough.  He didn't get down far enough into the gravel.  B-rad had to shovel out around it {because I had it stuck in a spot where he couldn't get his truck in front of it to pull it with the chain.  Whoops.} THEN he went to the barn & got the tractor & blade to clean it off better.  I got out the next morning with no problem!)
I stepped up to the mailbox to get the mail & was buried up to my knee.  And seeing this picture of my uber cute shoes made me remember something...
I never told ya'll about the cutest shoes on the planet I got for Christmas!!!!!  Mom has us all do Amazon wish lists so she knows exactly what to get us.  Shauna turned me onto these shoes called 'Danskos'.  A lot of nurses wear them because they're really comfortable. I have 2 pair - one is boring black & the other is boring brown.  I searched on Amazon for cute patterns.  I found these & one other pair & put both on my list.  When I unwrapped a box that said, 'Dansko' on Christmas morning I nearly had a stroke.  Then I closed my eyes & said, "I wonder which ones she got me?!"  When I opened the box - I shrieked.
They're bright, they're loud - I mean, they're practically my twin.  I have deemed them the 'cutest shoes on the planet' when anyone asks about them.  And TRUST ME - they are a conversation starter.  Mom said, "Are you REALLY going to wear those shoes?"  I said, "HELL YES I'm gonna wear them.  I'd wear them everyday if I could!"  At first I only wore them w/ like plain black...but I love them so much have now decided now they go w/ everything I own...

My hubby the star - the final chapter

Do ya'll remember back this summer when B-rad was interviewed at the farm by the company that made the new down pressure system they put on the planter this year?  If you don't - you can read it here.

Its been 6 months, & the editing people have finally worked their magic & it has been posted to their website!  First, we saw this print ad in one of the boring farm magazines we get.

On Friday, B-rad had the link to the video & this is what it looks like on their website.
Now I will warn you - you will not understand what the HELL he is talking about...but you should still watch it.  It's only a minute or two & it's really cool to see how everything came together!  When you click on the link, you can scroll down the page & see all the quotes they took from him that day & incorporated that into the website.  Watch the video here.  (the other guy in the video is the local dealer we use for our Precision products...)

I am SUPER proud of my hubby!  I think this is a really cool thing he got to be involved in!  But--- of course we spent a lot some time making fun of him on the video.  He says he talks funny & I say, 'that's how you talk... if it wasn't you & we didn't know you we wouldn't think anything about it.'  He also noticed he has a LOT of scars on his head.  )I'm telling you the boy hits himself in the head with more stuff than I've ever seen.)  Then he said he has a fat head. He said, 'The camera adds about 80 pounds.'  I said, "Yea, to your head...'
